Congratulation to LISSA, who was voted Princess of the Punks in a unanimous decision. Lissa claims the cardboard crown and a goody bag. Thank you to everyone who came to this picnic. The Irish Congress of Trade Unions & Le Chéile DND have organized a "Rally For Unity & Hope" this November. The rally is meant to bring people together against racism & inequality. The Dublin Union of Punks will be there to show some solidarity & represent anti-racist punks. Punks* are encouraged to meet at the rally point (look out for the "Punks Against Racism" sign). Bring flags, banners, chants & whatever else you're having yourself. At the end of the rally we will adjourn to a pub or café for chats. Location TBC. Usual picnic rules apply - No bigots, no creeps. *Goths, mods, emos, skinheads & beyond are welcome too! Thank you to everyone who came from around Dublin & around the country. Congratulations to Mikey, who won the Hallowe'en costume competition (and a goodie bag) as Gerard Way. We're coming up to the 2nd anniversary of the Dublin Punk Picnic* - and Hallowe'en too! You're all invited to a punk picnic in Stephen's Green on October the 26th. Bring food, your friends, your musicial talents & your passion for punk - other subcultures are welcome. There will be a patch swap, a session, amateur hairdressing, and a costume competition. Bigots, bozos & creeps are always unwelcome - you have been warned. The organizers can be contacted via instagram @dupunks. * The Dublin Union of Punks is aware of and acknowledges previous picnics, & is aware of the long history of punk, goth & other subcultural gatherings in Stephen's Green. We were not the first & will not be the last. The next Punk Picnic will take place on the 27th of July, 2024, in Stephen's Green. The best punk jacket wins a small prize! Bring your friends, don't bring drink or drugs. No bigots or creeps. All subcultures welcome, just be sound! The Dublin Union of Punks is marching in Trans Pride. 13th of July 2024. 12.00 pm, Garden of Remembrance (disability access starting point is at Nassau Street/Grafton Street at 12.15pm). Join the punk bloc! Masking encouraged (contact mask bloc éire if needed). Bring signs, songs, flags, chants, banners and instruments. March to defend yourself and your friends.
